Track expenses

  1. Open Expenses → Add.
  2. Enter the amount, pick a category, and set the date.
  3. Add a note and attach a receipt photo if you have one.
  4. Save.

Share or photograph the receipt into the inbox, run OCR, and triage it into an expense — the amount is pre-filled.

Any ECA task with a fee, or any task with an amount, shows up in expenses automatically. Edit the task to change the amount and it updates here too.

Payments scheduled for a task, ECA fee, or salary appear in Upcoming expenses. When you actually pay one, confirm it and it’s counted on the payment date — confirming early flags it in the early-payments banner on the dashboard.

Pick the category that best matches, so your budgets and charts make sense. See the full list in Expense categories.

Some spending shouldn’t count against your day-to-day budget — a one-off reimbursement, a work expense you’ll claim back, or money that isn’t really yours to track.

Mark an expense Excluded and it stays in your history but is left out of budgets and totals. Toggle it back any time if it should count again.

  • Photograph receipts at the moment of purchase and drop them in the inbox — don’t let them pile up.
  • Keep regular costs (rent, helper salary) in their own categories so trends stay clean.
