OCR — extract text

TickTad runs on-device OCR (optical character recognition) to pull text out of images and PDFs — no upload to a server needed.

How to use it

Section titled “How to use it”
  1. Add a photo or PDF to the inbox.
  2. Tap Extract text.
  3. The recognised text appears, ready to edit.

What it’s for

  • Receipts → OCR finds the amount, so triage can pre-fill an expense.
  • Notes and letters → turn a photo of a note into text.
  • Documents → make a scanned page searchable.

Privacy

OCR runs locally on your device, so your images never leave your phone to be read.
