Create a task by voice
The fastest way to capture a task is to say it. TickTad transcribes on your device and parses the time, date and intent for you.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”- Tap the voice button on the Tasks screen.
- Speak naturally, e.g. “Remind me to call the plumber tomorrow at 3pm”.
- Review the pre-filled form and save.
What the parser understands
Section titled “What the parser understands”- Times — “at 5pm”, “half past three”, “noon”, “midnight”.
- Dates — “today”, “tomorrow”, “next Monday”, “in two weeks”, “the day after tomorrow”.
- Priority — words like “urgent” or “important” flag the task.
- Title vs description — “…and then…” splits a title from extra notes.
- ECA detection — “class”, “tuition”, “pick up”, “drop off” and similar mark it as a kids’ activity.
- Amounts — a spoken price is captured as an expense amount.
- The result is always editable — the parser is a head start, not a promise.
- Say the when clearly; everything else becomes the description.
- Use it for capture-on-the-go, then tidy up in the weekly review.
