Inbox overview
The Inbox is TickTad’s front door. Capture anything from anywhere, without deciding where it belongs yet — then sort it when you have a moment.
Why capture-first works
Section titled “Why capture-first works”Deciding “is this a task, a note, or an expense?” is the part that slows you down. The inbox removes that decision at the moment of capture. You get it in, and triage it in your weekly review.
What you can capture
Section titled “What you can capture”- Text you paste or type.
- Links from anywhere.
- Photos (receipts, whiteboards, notes).
- Files and PDFs (with OCR text extraction).
How items get in
Section titled “How items get in”- Share from other apps — the iOS Share Extension.
- Paste text & links — directly in the app.
- Photograph and run OCR to turn images into text.
How items get sorted
Section titled “How items get sorted”Each inbox item is classified into one of five kinds — task, note, document, expense or todo — and TickTad suggests the right one for you. See Triage items.
