The point of a household app is that you stop holding everything in your head.
Assign, don’t remember
Section titled “Assign, don’t remember”Every recurring chore should have an assignee. When a task has an owner, nobody has to ask “whose job is this?”
Confirm, don’t nag
Section titled “Confirm, don’t nag”With two-step completion, the person doing the work marks it done, and you confirm. Feedback happens through the app, not through nagging.
Use photos for proof
Section titled “Use photos for proof”Ask for a photo proof on tasks where it matters. A picture of the cleaned kitchen settles it faster than any argument.
- Agree a small, shared chore list first — don’t boil the ocean.
- Put the school run on the helper’s task list and the shared calendar.
- Review who-owns-what in the weekly review, and rebalance when it drifts.
